How it works here
A/C that stops cooling has usually lost refrigerant through a leak. We find the leak before recharging, so the repair lasts. On the engine side we pressure test the cooling system and check the water pump and thermostat, which are common failure points on European engines.
Can I keep driving if the temperature warning comes on?
No. Pull over and shut the engine off as soon as it is safe. Driving an overheating engine can warp the cylinder head. Call us at (937) 609-7536 and we can arrange a tow.
Why did my A/C stop working after a recharge somewhere else?
A recharge without a leak repair is temporary. The refrigerant escapes again through the same leak. We test for the leak first and fix it, then recharge to the specified amount.
How often should coolant be changed?
It depends on the manufacturer and the coolant type. We look up the interval for your car and use the coolant it specifies, since mixing types can cause deposits.
